ER GURU BRING IN SCRIBE TEAM
Writes first two episodes personally
Reuters/Yahoo reports that John Wells has brought in an actual writing team - though he's shown some Sorkin like work ethic by personally writing the first two episodes this season himself.
And the results aren't very encouraging. Though missing some of Sorkin's trademark bantering, and the episodes are rumored to contain some great emotional moments to kick off the new season, Wells has said there won't be a huge change in the show.
MEMO TO JOHN WELLS - LOOK AT THE RATINGS, BUD. THEY HAVEN'T BEEN DROPPING BECAUSE OF SORKIN'S WONDERFUL DIALOGUE.
This week on THE LEFT ... er ... WEST WING

PASS THE HAT
Industry trades confirm demands and names names
Showbizdata.com has confirmed that the supporting "vanguard" of the West Wing is demanding a pay raise:
"For the second year in a row, four co-stars of The West Wing reportedly are holding out for more money. According to trade reports, Allison Janney, Richard Schiff, Bradley Whitford and John Spencer are demanding that NBC nearly double their salaries to $150,000 per episode. That would be roughly half the fee paid to series lead Martin Sheen. They currently receive $80,000 per episode. "
Now, TLW can't help but wonder ... is this an effort to get the same "kwan" offered series star Martin Sheen? Or is it an attempt by the rats to try and desert a sinking ship?
